Game 5 preview: NAP vs T-mobile

Monday night is game 5 for the NAP softball team.  They are entering this game 4-0 against another undefeated team in T-mobile.  Last year T-mobile won the championship, so they are looked at as the team to beat this year.  This will be the second team that NAP has faced that has won a game this season.  Last Thursday NAP beat PDR Networks by a score of 24-14, the only team NAP has played that has won this year.  To be able to compete against this T-mobile team NAP will have to work a lot on their defense, as they have given up a lot of runs this season.  One of the biggest challenges for NAP will be to break the trend of giving up 3-5 runs in the first inning as they have done four times already this season.  Three of those four games they gave up runs in the first inning and had to come from behind to win the game.  With a powerful team like T-mobile, coming from behind to win will be a difficult task.  NAP has the offense to win games, they just have to keep the other team from scoring so much.  Check out the teams Twitter tomorrow @NAPsoftball for live in game tweets.

Tomorrow is game four against PDR Network.  We are currently 3-0 so far in the season.  Tomorrows game will be a test for us because up to this point the teams we have played haven't won a game yet.  The team we play tomorrow has at least one win.  Hopefully we can break our teams habit of giving up three to four runs in the first inning.  Our offense is pretty potent as we have several power hitters and hitters that can get base hits.  Our defense is so-so, we tend to go through waves of being great and giving up runs on poor defense or on errors.  Be sure to follow us on Twitter @NAPsoftball during the game tomorrow for live tweets as the game goes on.  Also, check us out on Facebook @https://www.facebook.com/NAPsoftball, Friday will feature game highlights.  As always the game will be in Montvale, NJ at the baseball fields so come out and cheer us on.  Have a great night everyone and if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them and they will get answered for you.

The first ever NAP softball team blog!

This blog is to provide information about the NAP softball team.  We are excited to represent the Net-A-Porter groups Distribution Center 2 in Mahwah, NJ.  As the season goes on you will see information about the team, Recaps of games, and player profiles.  This blog will allow you to connect with the NAP softball team via Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites.  We will also post videos on our YouTube page for you to enjoy.  Every week will talk about the game we played that week and what we expect in our upcoming game(s).

We had our first game last Monday, May 5th, against Western Union.  We started out a little rough at first and quickly found ourselves down 4-1.  After that bad start we got into our grove and quickly started scoring.  We went up 6-4 the next inning and never looked back.  The final score was 14-5 for a very exciting first victory for the NAP softball team.

This week we will be playing Konica Minolta 2 on Monday, May 12th, @ 6:15PM.
